The nightstand features a [stool-like construction](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/walle-stool) with a four-legged design that boasts a storage shelf in the base along with additional space inside the upper section. A [sliding tabletop area](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosi) offers a spot to place essentials, but can also be removed for use as a lap desk for working from bed. The 'Mate' bedside table also accommodates for [mobile device charging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-sleep-nightstand) with a design that integrates cords and cables into the design seamlessly. The slender form of the side table helps it to fit in neatly with existing decor and work well with higher bed frames. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 99% | Activity: 96% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Adaptable Bedside Tables:** Designing bedside tables with multiple functionalities such as storage and lap desk helps modernize bedroom furniture - **Integrated Charging Design:** Incorporating seamless charging technology in home furniture provides convenience and accessibility for modern mobile device users - **Slender Furniture Design:** Creating furniture with a minimalist and space-saving design allows for versatility and ease of integration with existing decor ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** Incorporating multiple functionalities and integrated charging technology in furniture can revolutionize the bedroom furniture industry and provide a new value proposition for customers - **Home Decor:** Creating furniture with minimalist design and versatile functionality can disrupt the home decor industry by providing unique and modern aesthetics that cater to modern customers - **Technology:** Integrating seamless charging technology in home furniture can create new opportunities for the technology industry to expand their consumer reach and influence ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tech-Packed Bedroom Nightstands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-bedside-table.md) - [Industrial Floating Bedside Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tu-bedside-table.md) - [Curvaceous Storage-Focused Nightstands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozy-night-stand.md) - [Stylish Storage-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basso-side-table.md) - [Tech-Rich Bedside Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hiinteriors-histand.md) - [Perplexingly Angular Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tadashi-side-table.md) - [Bookcase-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/low-wall-side-table.md) - [Wall-Mounted Two-Legged Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instable-side-table.md) - [Asymmetrical Storage Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crossbred-side-table.md)
