Currently located in a Spanish museum, the artist's fire starter replica is one of a collection of enormous (albeit scaled down) architectural reproductions. His oeuvre includes the United States Capitol building, the Elfin palace from the Lord of the Rings and even the Challenger space shuttle. This particular creation is another stand-alone masterpiece composed of more than 602,000 individual matches. Taking on an unbelievable intricacy of meticulous detail, the [School of Witchcraft and Wizardry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wizardthemed-coin-collection) is taller than most people and boasts the most authentic form the designer could gather from the films. The Matchstick Hogwarts by Patrick Acton incorporates steep towers, tiny windows, rough cliff edges and is truly a magical model. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 56% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Matchstick Art:** The art of creating intricate models from matchsticks can be expanded to other iconic buildings and structures. - **Architectural Reproductions:** Creating scaled-down replicas of famous buildings and landmarks can be a lucrative business opportunity for entrepreneurs. - **Museum Exhibitions:** Museums can attract more visitors by featuring unique and unconventional exhibits like the Matchstick Hogwarts. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** The art and design industry can expand their portfolio by exploring matchstick art as a unique and creative medium. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Entrepreneurs in the tourism and hospitality industry can create attractions based on scaled-down architectural reproductions like the Matchstick Hogwarts. - **Museums and Galleries:** Museums and galleries can offer visitors a chance to marvel at unconventional exhibits that showcase creativity and artistry like the Matchstick Hogwarts. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Magical Puzzle Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hogsmeade-village-collectors.md) - [Spooky Interior Décors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-lamps.md) - [Immersive Jigsaw Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harry-potter-jigsaw-puzzle.md) - [Fantasy Movie Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harry-potter-franchise.md) - [Minimalist Design-Conscious Boot Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harry-potter-hogwarts-set.md) - [Portable Compact Fantastical Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polly-pocket-harry-potter.md) - [Buildable Wizard Hats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-talking-sorting-hat.md) - [Fantasy Keycap Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hogwarts-house-keycaps.md) - [Wizarding Anniversary Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/25th-anniversary-collector-set.md)
