A Brooklyn-based artist called 'TH' creates these adorable matchbox messages that are to be used as greeting cards. The tiny hand-crafted boxes use the outer casing of matchboxes like the exterior of a traditional card. However, when the matchbox is open, there is a clever and often touching message inside.

Using the interior, which acts as a drawer, the artist is able to create 3D surprises. For example, one of the matchbox messages has an image of a mailbox on the outside. When the matchbox receiver opens the box, a tiny hand-made envelope is sitting inside with a letter that reads "I love you."

This creative way to upcycle matchboxes is both heartwarming and eco-friendly. The artistic creations can be purchased online at the artist's Etsy store. These cards can be used for any occasion from Christmas to Mother's Day.
