It's quite odd to see the helmet of a storm trooper on the body of a classy gentleman, but somehow it just feels right. What makes these photographs compelling is the attention to detail that was put into them. The images are either in black and white or have that faded-color look that really old pictures get. With that and a vintage-style frame, the combination of [superhero and family man](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fantastic-four-first-steps) becomes a hilarious juxtaposition. One can see this perfectly demonstrated as a [black and white Batman](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-dark-knight-collection) in a dress suits holds up a cat for the camera. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 93% | Activity: 95% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Pop Culture Mashup Photos:** Combining pop culture characters with traditional family photos in a vintage aesthetic - **Nostalgic Film Mashups:** Mixing old film with modern characters in a creative and entertaining way - **Superhero-inspired Family Photoshoots:** Families and individuals embracing their inner geek by incorporating superhero themes into traditional family portraits ### Who This Affects Most - **Photography:** Incorporating pop culture elements into traditional photography styles to create unique and comedic images - **Entertainment:** Bringing together old and new characters in an unusual yet entertaining mashup - **Marketing and Advertising:** Using nostalgia and pop culture references to create memorable and shareable content for brands and products ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Classical Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sen-donnan.md) - [Reimagined Beloved Character Comics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marvel-and-disney.md) - [Time-Altering Digital Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/time-machine-feature.md) - [Selfie-Based Action Figures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/formlabs.md) - [Collectible Historical Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thrilljoy-pix.md) - [Comic-Inspired Soda Cans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-heroes.md) - [Collectible Pop Culture-Referencing Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/san-diego-comiccon.md) - [Comic-Themed Tech Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-heroes-vs-villains.md) - [Retro Space-Themed Puzzled Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/john-carter.md)
