It’s unlikely that you’ll see exotic wildlife ignited in real life, which is what makes these paintings that much more mesmerizing. With smoke and flames emanating from the heads, tails, beaks and other body parts of these animals, viewers are treated to [supernatural visuals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-into-darkness) that are perplexing, but command your attention nonetheless. Martin Wittfooth is the talented visionary behind these images and he currently works and resides in Brooklyn, New York. His paintings often employ bleak color schemes, which contrasts well with the luminescence of the fire in each picture. He also frequently renders [animal carcasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fibredog) in a similarly sublime manner, usually having [vegetation and flowers grow out](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/untamed-nature) from the remains of deceased creatures. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 88% | Activity: 61% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Animal Artistic Rendering:** Artists are reimagining animals in creative ways to push the boundaries of traditional art. - **Environmental Awareness Illustration:** Illustrations depict animals being affected by climate change, raising awareness for environmental issues. - **Imaginative Wildlife Depictions:** Art that expands on reality and creates something entirely new, like ignited animals, is captivating audiences and gaining attention in the art scene. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Art and design companies can benefit from hiring artists to create unique, thought-provoking visuals that capture attention and spark conversation. - **Environmental Activism:** Environmental organizations can utilize illustrations of animals affected by climate change to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote initiatives to combat them. - **Wildlife Conservation:** Organizations focused on wildlife conservation can use imaginative wildlife depictions to gain public attention and engage with a broader audience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Almost-Extinct Animal Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fauna-series.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [Insect-Inspired Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/insect-bronze-sculptures.md) - [Fire-Inspired Artful Candelabras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forge-candelabra.md) - [Artistic Animalistic Tequilas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dobel-atelier-animales-endmicos.md) - [Physics-Informed Digital Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motion-sculpture.md) - [Exquisite Time Lapse Candles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xl-porcelain-candles.md) - [Fantasy Sculptural Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chris-wolston.md) - [Otherwordly Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/william-monk.md)
