Mark Olivier is attempting to clean up the coastline of California's East Bay by turning the trash found on its beaches into gorgeous works of art. Olivier scours the beaches near his home in Berkeley, California, looking for odds and ends to use in his art.

Olivier uses everything from crabbing rope to [cigarette lighters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shearling-style-hat) to create his eccentric art. The artist has built a giant Buddha, samurai and [green poodle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fibredog) using nothing but the trash found along the East Bay coast. Olivier displays his artwork on his yard and on the yards of his neighbors. His art is for sale there, with past work selling for as much as $1,500. In case you were wondering, the poodle is for sale and can be yours for a mere $5,000.
