In a disturbing photo series, Mark Harless put [naked people in transparent plastic bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-birk) and positioned them in [untouched outdoor landscapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highwood-installation). Entitled Fertilizer, the collection began with the concept of putting people in bags, and the reasoning came afterwards.

Despite the unsettling quality of the captures, the visually stimulating shots had a peaceful element to them. After examining the imagery, Mark Harless told Ignant he began to think about [life and death](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/funerary-urn). The artist aptly explained his line of thought: "After we die our bodies will decompose and the plants and animals will feed off of us in the same fashion a bag of fertilizer would."

Specializing in fine art and fashion, the photographer is based out of Madison, Alabama.
