Inspired by the Rubik's cube art of Space-Invader, this black and white pointillist piece is mind-boggling when you take a look at how it's been generated. With great precision, Alvarez produced the mosaic by first featuring James Dean, followed by a perplexing metamorphosis into the sultry image of the blonde 1950s icon. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Media](https://www.trendhunter.com/media) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Pointillist Mosaics:** Exploring the artistic potential of pointillism in creating intricate mosaics using unconventional materials like dice. - **Rubik's Cube Art:** Adapting the techniques of Rubik's cube art to create visually stunning and intricate designs. - **Metamorphic Art:** Utilizing the concept of metamorphosis to transform one image into another in a visually striking manner. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Exploring new mediums and techniques in creating unique and visually captivating artwork. - **Craft and Hobbies:** Innovating in the field of crafting and hobbies by incorporating unconventional materials and techniques. - **Home Decor and Furnishings:** Offering visually stunning and unique home decor pieces that showcase unconventional artistic techniques. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Collectible Historical Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thrilljoy-pix.md) - [Artisanal Interior Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dice-design-system.md) - [Art-Inspired Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-mattel-x-moma.md) - [Mechanical Vintage Dice Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wm-levsha.md) - [Pop Art Legend-Honoring Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keiichi-tanaami-1.md) - [Reimagined Puzzled Artful Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portrait-of-a-woman-in-a-hat.md) - [Artist-Edition Jigsaw Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artistedition-jigsaw-puzzles.md) - [Artful Summer Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slim-aarons-puzzle-collection.md) - [Miniature Artful Hip-Hop Landmarks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/danny-cortes.md)
