The construction of the accommodation allows the dweller to sit directly on top of a body of water or nestle snugly into the branches of a tree. The environmentally friendly materials used in the abode include FSC-certificated wood and solar panels to reduce the human footprint left behind when lodging outdoors. The bulb-shaped pod moves slightly with the breeze and includes sleeping accommodations for up to four people. It also comes equipped with all of the amenities including a shower and kitchen facilities. Featuring floor-to-ceiling curved windows, the home away from home allows for guests to take in a stellar view of the natural elements surrounding them before being softly rocked to sleep. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) > [Eco Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/ecoarchitecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Floating Eco Lodges:** Designing lodges that float on water or are nestled in tree branches for nature enthusiasts and eco-friendly travelers. - **Green Building Materials:** Using sustainable materials like FSC-certified wood and solar panels in construction to reduce the human footprint when lodging outdoors. - **Curved Window Architecture:** Incorporating floor-to-ceiling curved windows in lodging to provide stunning views of natural surroundings for guests. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Hospitality:** Implementing eco-friendly and nature-based accommodations to attract travelers looking for unique and sustainable lodging options. - **Construction:** Developing more sustainable and eco-friendly building materials and techniques for lodging and other outdoor structures. - **Architecture:** Incorporating innovative and visually stunning features like curved windows in lodges and homes to offer a unique experience for clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Waterside Retreat Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bora-boral.md) - [Forest-Treetop Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/more-cabin.md) - [Floating River Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-river-cabin.md) - [Elevated Treetop Modern Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buitenverblijf-nest.md) - [Sustainable Floating Cork Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-float-1.md) - [Floating Eco-Tourist Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/turtle-bay.md) - [Tranquil Suspended Hanging Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ardh-architect.md) - [Captivating Stilt-House Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mast-1.md) - [Flax Fiber Floating Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blue-nomad.md)
