The capsule is made up of two seating designs that are constructed from [recycled cork materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-tk). The first design in the capsule is dubbed the Vis-à-vis, which is a lightweight and sturdy stool that can also function as a small side table. The second design in the capsule is the Rendez-vous, which is a bench that also works as an extensive seating option -- both designs are suitable and comfortable options in the bathroom. Agape states that “Like in a child’s drawing, or a fairy tale by Gianni Rodari, these whimsical and playful elements show both lightness and originality of thought. In a world that wants everything neatly categorized and defined, these pieces celebrate their versatility and freedom of use.” Image Credit: Agape ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 69% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 14% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Sustainable Bathroom Furniture:** Marco Carini's collection of bathroom furniture made from recycled cork materials presents an opportunity for companies to create more sustainable and environmentally-conscious designs. - **Versatile Bathroom Seating:** The Vis-à-vis stool and Rendez-vous bench designed by Marco Carini provide multifunctional seating options for bathrooms, inspiring companies to create furniture with dual purposes for small spaces. - **Playful Bathroom Decor:** Agape's whimsical and playful designs for bathroom furniture challenge the traditional idea of bathroom decor, presenting an opportunity for companies to create unique and creative designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Furniture and Decor:** The sustainable and versatile bathroom furniture collection by Marco Carini presents an opportunity for home furniture and decor companies to expand their product lines with environmentally-friendly and functional designs. - **Hospitality Industry:** The Vis-à-vis stool and Rendez-vous bench designed by Marco Carini's collection would be a great choice for hotels looking to add sustainable and multifunctional seating options to their bathrooms. - **Eco-friendly Manufacturing:** The use of recycled cork in Marco Carini's bathroom furniture highlights the opportunity for eco-friendly manufacturing companies to use more renewable materials in their production processes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cork Bathroom Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathroom-seating.md) - [Sustainable Bathroom Design Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sustainable-bathroom-design.md) - [Grainy Cork Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clover-collection-2.md) - [Stackable Cork-Made Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-cork-seating.md) - [Sustainable Chrome Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cork-collection.md) - [Sustainable Biophilic Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inspired-by-nature.md) - [Tree-Inspired Modular Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orixe.md) - [Origami-Inspired Seating Capsule](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origamiinspired-design1.md) - [Collaborative Bathroom Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathroom-design2.md)
