Nevertheless, he always adds a detail that offers some context to his artwork. For instance, one of Marc Allante's paintings revolves around [splattered, dripping inks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorscape-installation) that fall on almost every inch of his canvas except for the couple huddling under a [shared umbrella](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inbetween-umbrella) to escape the streaks of color raining down on them. Based in Hong Kong, Marc Allante is of Chinese and French descent. An independent, self taught artist, his work does conform to the typical, which works to his benefit. Often working with scenes that reflect imaginations caught in the boundaries of reality, he focuses on everything from faces to cityscapes. Working predominantly with inks and pens, Marc Allante manages to imbue a sense of beauty into these writing materials. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 96% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Abstract Ink Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new techniques and materials for creating abstract artwork using ink. - **Contextual Detailing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore innovative ways to add contextual details to abstract paintings, enhancing viewer engagement and interpretation. - **Imaginative Realism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine elements of reality and imagination in artwork, creating captivating and thought-provoking visual experiences. ### Where This Applies - **Art Supplies:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop and market new ink varieties and painting materials tailored for abstract ink art. - **Art Galleries:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Curate exhibitions that showcase abstract ink artwork alongside contextual detailing, providing a unique and immersive artistic experience. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with artists to incorporate abstract ink artwork with contextual details into interior design projects, adding depth and intrigue. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Oil Painting-Inspired Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antonio-santn.md) - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md) - [Abstract Geometric Solo Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/impermanent-state-of-being.md) - [Evolved Vibrant Graffiti Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jan-kalb.md) - [Human Duality-Themed Abstract Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/passive-aggression.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Otherwordly Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/william-monk.md) - [Weather-Inspired Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/weatherinspired-art-exhibition.md) - [Leftover Househouse Paint Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-drop.md)
