This funky looking '[Manhattan Lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clarks-wallabee-boot)' -- which acquired its name after the place of origin of its marble from the Calacatta Manhattan quarry -- is designed by Canadian designer Rodrigo Caula. Using precious marble from the Italian city of Carrara, the marble lamp will make for an industrial-looking home accent that would go perfectly with an minimally decorated scape. Made from a solid piece of marble that beautifully reflects light, the table lamp is connected by a black spiral five meter cord to make sure it's easy to position. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Premium Material Lamps:** Using high-quality, rare materials for lamp designs is a trend that could be applied to other home goods to create a luxury atmosphere. - **Industrial Home Decor:** The use of industrial design in home decor could be a trend in the future as the minimalist design continues to gain popularity. - **Luxury Lighting:** Creating unique and stylish lighting designs made from luxury materials could be a trend in the home decor industry to attract high-end customers. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Luxury Lighting Industry:** This industry could expand their market of high-end customers by creating unique lighting made from rare materials. - **Marble Industry:** High-quality marble is a rare and beautiful material that is in demand and could be marketed beyond traditional uses like countertops and floors. - **Home Decor Industry:** The industrial design trend in home decor is growing and could expand to include more high-end products like the marble lamp. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Adaptive Marble Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emit.md) - [Modern Marble Waste Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sole-lamp.md) - [Luxurious Futuristic Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/futuristic-table-lamp.md) - [Street Light-Inspired Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/standing-lamp-marble.md) - [Volcanic Stone Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foscarini-lava-lamps.md) - [Hand-Cast Crystal Glowing Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nola-lamp.md) - [Illuminating Stone-Made Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nau-design.md) - [Stone-Inspired Lighting Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stone-collection.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md)
