Manuela Soto Sosa, also known as Soto Gang, is a Swiss-Uruguayan artist who specializes in fine art, tattooing, fashion, and art direction. Recently, Sosa has been chosen as the subject for a [solo exhibition](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fangirl) at DOMICILE TOKYO in Japan dubbed ‘Moratorium.’

The display includes a fascinating [3D-printed sculpture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kennedy-yanko) of a female subject hanging from the ceiling and looking into a mirror framed by natural materials. The anime-inspired figure has phrases etched onto her back and is dressed in a lace bra and underwear in true Soto style. A collection of drawings that appear to study the artist's three-dimensional works also feature raunchy female figures and appear next to the sculpture.

DOMICILE commented on the exhibition, explaining: “Through [installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/satellite-exhibition), Soto reclaims her works existence as her own the same way she helped her audience to reclaim their bodies and heal. Here, she has the courage to realize her own self-portrait through a new medium, it is Soto that hangs for us all to witness. Only she can find serenity as gravity pulls her under from the top down.”
