It’s also very practical. [Made of clay](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tronco), the Mans Salomonsen ‘Cocoon’ absorbs water from the produce, which in turn cools the shell. Aside from it’s functional properties, the ‘Cocoon’ is also rather fetching. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Produce Storage Solutions:** The Mans Salomonsen 'Cocoon' highlights the trend of innovative produce storage solutions that combine functionality and aesthetics. - **Minimalist Refrigeration:** The smaller size of refrigerators in shoebox condos is creating opportunities for innovative storage solutions like the Mans Salomonsen 'Cocoon'. - **Sustainable Food Preservation:** The clay material and water-absorbing properties of the Mans Salomonsen 'Cocoon' align with the trend of sustainable food preservation methods. ### Where This Applies - **Home Appliances:** The Mans Salomonsen 'Cocoon' could disrupt the home appliance industry by offering a unique and space-saving alternative to traditional refrigeration. - **Design and Decor:** The aesthetically pleasing design of the Mans Salomonsen 'Cocoon' opens up opportunities for collaboration between designers and home decor brands. - **Sustainable Living:** The use of clay and water absorption technology in the Mans Salomonsen 'Cocoon' could inspire the development of sustainable living solutions in the food storage industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Green Produce-Preserving Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freshworks-produce-saver.md) - [Electricity-Free Portable Refrigerators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tony-food-storage-container.md) - [Sleek Food Display Fridges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kollect-smart.md) - [Architecture-Inspired Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vegetment-vegetable-cultivator.md) - [Rotating Food Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saveit.md) - [Modern Food Preservation Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/totem.md) - [Display-Centric Dynamic Fruit Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circuit.md) - [Elegant Airtight Herb Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/herb-storage-container.md) - [Food Preservation Fridges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beko.md)
