We have previously introduced you to a street art project by FilthyLuker that attached eyes to trees and bushes. Now we bring you a fun homemade project that uses [magnetic ping pong ball eyes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/milo-webcam-concept) to make '[instant faces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crazyface)'. To create the magnetic eyes, simply cut open a ping pong ball and glue a magnet into it. Dip it in white Plasti Dip and draw an eyeball on it. Now you can make faces by attaching the eyes to any metal object. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/photography) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Instant Faces:** By using magnetic ping pong ball eyes and attaching them to objects, DIYers can add a creative and inexpensive touch to their decoration or art projects. - **Magnet-based DIY Crafts:** This trend speaks to the growing popularity of magnet-based DIY crafts that allow people to easily customize and decorate their surroundings without the need for expensive resources. - **Funny Object Muppets:** As the concept of turning everyday objects into muppet-like characters grows in popularity, this trend presents an opportunity for toy manufacturers to create a line of merchandise that celebrates the absurdity of everyday items turned into silly creatures. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art Supplies and Crafts:** These DIY trends present an opportunity for art supply and craft retailers to introduce new products that cater to the growing interest among consumers in creative and unique DIY projects. - **Home Decor and Design:** By tapping into the magnet-based DIY trend, home decor and design businesses can offer innovative and sustainable ways for homeowners to personalize and beautify their living spaces without breaking the bank. - **Toy Manufacturing:** This silly yet entertaining trend offers a chance for toy manufacturers to create plush toys or figurines based on the concept of everyday objects turned into funny Muppet-like creatures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multifunctional Plant Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-plant-planter.md) - [Magnetic Hand-Holding Socks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handholding-socks.md) - [Eye-Adorned Furry Mules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eyeball-mules.md) - [DIY Monster Pops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monster-pops.md) - [Whimsical AI Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clayify.md) - [Artful Table Tennis Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nedj-ping-pong-tables.md) - [Viral Face Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crazyface.md) - [Adorable Cartoon Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightweight-and-adorable.md) - [Sensory DIY Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silly-putty-nuggets-mixin-lab.md)
