# Comfortably Interconnected Abodes The Maison H3 House Offers Seamless Transitions By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2014-06-25 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maison-h3 References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2014/06/25/maison-h3-by-vincent-coste/) & [vincentcoste](http://www.vincentcoste.com/) Vincent Coste designed 'Maison H3,' an impressive St. Tropez home, for a gallery owner and her husband. The clients wished to disengage themselves from the comings and goings of the street level, so the architects decided to construct all the [living areas upstairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-cadree-perche). Meanwhile, a [large patio provides perspective](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-tres-patis) from every angle on both the upper and lower floors. A glistening, narrow pool stretches along the length of the deck, offering a unity and symmetry between the indoor and outside, as well as upper and lower, spaces. The visible nature of this home makes it feel incredibly interconnected; however, it is spacious enough to be comfortable and commodious for its residents. Overall, this home can be a functional full-time residence or a [luxurious getaway](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stealth-1). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Smart Homes:** Incorporating advanced technology systems to create a seamlessly interconnected abode for residents. - **Indoor-outdoor Living:** Designing living spaces that can seamlessly transition between inside and outside areas for a truly immersive experience. - **Minimalism:** Creating a comfortable and commodious living space through the use of minimalist design principles and clean lines. ### Where This Applies - **Construction:** Leveraging advanced construction techniques and materials to create homes that offer a seamlessly interconnected living experience. - **Smart Home Technology:** Developing innovative systems and devices that can provide a full range of smart home features, including seamless transitions between different living areas. - **Interior Design:** Designing living spaces that use minimalist principles to create comfortable, commodious living spaces that seamlessly transition between interior and exterior areas. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Stone-Clad Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-coachella.md) - [Coastal Courtyard Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patio-house-residence.md) - [Chilean Hillside Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-three-heights.md) - [Coastal Summer Calm Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hors.md) - [Compact Corner Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modus-architect.md) - [Patio-Centering Villa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-tres-patis.md) - [Discreet Modern Brazil Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jf-residence.md) - [Hidden Resort Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stealth-1.md) - [Wave-Inspired Malibu Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inland-lane-residence.md)
