When Apple released a thinner, lighter design of its MagSafe power cord last year, brand faithfuls and newbies rejoiced. But with great progress comes compromise, and this means that for many a finger-tip-sized MagSafe 2 converter is necessary for older laptop models to use this new power product. Although helpful, the MagSafe 2 adapter is a small, fragile piece of technology that tends to get lost during the everyday hustle. By using the power of magnetic traction, the easy-to-carry MagSafe 2 converter key chain is a simple and subtle way to keep hold of power-providing tools while on the go. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 64% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Magsafe 2 Converter Keychains:** The trend of designing useful attachments for existing technology products like keychains ensures convenience and protection for users. - **Magnetic-based Technology:** The trend of incorporating magnetic-based technology in existing products offers opportunities for innovative designs and product enhancements. - **Compact and Convenient Accessories:** The trend of designing compact and convenient accessories for technological devices simplifies product attributes and ensures ease of use. ### Who This Affects Most - **Technology Accessories:** A MagSafe 2 converter keychain attachment presents an opportunity for technology accessories, especially for Apple devices. - **Product Design:** The trend of expanding magnetic-based technology offers opportunities for the product design industry to create innovative designs and enhancements for existing tech products. - **Consumer Goods:** Compact and convenient accessories present an opportunity for the consumer goods industry to offer simple and practical solutions for everyday hustle. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Micro-Sized Smartwatch Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keychain-apple-watch-charger.md) - [Compact Charging Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/m30.md) - [Magnetic Charging Innovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-pro-cable.md) - [Magnetic Adapter Hub Connectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multiport-adapter.md) - [Rugged Keychain Connectivity Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomad-chargekey-v2.md) - [Feature-Packed Key Chain Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/high-six.md) - [Premium Magnetic Charging Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-pro.md) - [Folding Multi-Position Charger Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keychain-charger-cable.md) - [Magnetic Charging Cables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-magcable.md)
