The handcrafted protective sleeve replaces traditional zippers with a rare-earth magnet closure system running along two sides. The design allows the case to open silently and without hardware that could scratch the device. WaterField Designs' Magnetic Gaming Case is made in San Francisco using full-grain leather, ballistic nylon, or waxed canvas on the exterior, with a closed-cell foam core for impact absorption and a plush interior liner to protect the screen and chassis. The silhouette also includes an interior pocket for a charging cable or small accessories. The magnetic closure also permits a charging cable to pass through while the case is closed, enabling the device to remain protected while powering up.
