# Magical Glass Concept Mac Funamizu Tablet Tells You About What You See By Ayman | Published 2008-02-22 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magical-glass-tablet References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/index.php/2008/02/22/window-to-the-world/) & [petitinvention.wordpress](http://petitinvention.wordpress.com/) I instantly fell in love with this concept. Imagine having a magical glass with you that you can use to obtain information about anything you see. The [thin ultra-connected tablet device](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thinkpal-ai-tablet) by Japanese **Mac Funamizu** doesn’t have a name yet, but it really is like a magical glass, a window to the world. You look through the glass, choose any object you want, and you can instantly access a multitude of information about it. You can use it when you want to know a car model, an insect name, what kind of food is served at a restaurant and how much it costs, who built a bridge, etc. etc. Choose a building or a monument and it brings you details of the location and features of the area. You can use it to check the meaning of a word in the newspaper, book, magazine, etc. You can opt for a dictionary, [wikipedia](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wikipedia-article-ai), thesaurus and anything else available on the web. Imagine having this device when you are on vacation or a trip. Such an exciting way to explore new places. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.4/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 89% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Connected Tablet Devices:** Opportunity for creating thin, ultra-connected tablet devices that provide instant access to information about any object. - **Augmented Reality:** Opportunity for developing augmented reality technology that overlays information on objects in real-time. - **Information Retrieval:** Opportunity for creating devices that can quickly and accurately retrieve various types of information on-demand. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** Consumer electronics industry can capitalize on creating innovative tablet devices with advanced information retrieval capabilities. - **Travel and Tourism:** Travel and tourism industry can benefit from incorporating augmented reality technology into travel experiences, providing tourists with real-time information about landmarks and attractions. - **Education and Publishing:** Education and publishing industry can explore the use of connected tablet devices as interactive learning tools, allowing students to access information instantly while studying. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AR Museum Eyewear Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metmate-ar-glasses-concept.md) - [AR Language Translation Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-ar-glasses.md) - [Ai Smartglasses Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lenovo-ai-glasses-concept.md) - [Immersive All-Screen Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macbook-folio.md) - [Augmented Reality Projection Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacetop.md) - [Object-Recognizing AI Wearables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-wearable.md) - [Metaverse-Connected Streaming Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metaverse-streaming-device.md) - [Tablet-Based Video Magnifying Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/video-magnifier.md) - [AI-Powered Productivity Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-ai-device.md)
