Project Artik uses the [minimalist design aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firm-book-end) to come up with an extremely [modern shelving unit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qurv). The shelves are comprised of steel tubes that are lacquered with paint and have a beech wood tip. To install them, they must be [screwed onto the wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ledge-shelf) so books may balance on the unit. One may choose to tilt the shelves and vary the separating distance between them or make them all uniform. When the unit is filled with reading material, the Magda bookshelf becomes an eye-catching piece of art. The shelves form a disjointed ladder of all your favorite authors, making literature a central focus in your room. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Minimalist Bookshelves:** Incorporate minimalist design aesthetic to create modern shelving units. - **Tilted Steel Book Organizers:** Add variety to physical book displays with tilted steel book organizers. - **Functional Bookshelf Art:** Transform bookshelves into eye-catching pieces of art. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture:** Innovative shelving designs for furniture manufacturers. - **Interior Design:** Functional art for interior designers. - **Home Decor:** Novel book displays as part of home decor. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Book-Storing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookgroove-bookrack.md) - [Versatile Book Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/penguin-x-moebe-book-stand.md) - [Minimalist Bookish Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimal-bookshelf.md) - [Folding Steel Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pli-steel-wall-shelf.md) - [Twisting Donut-Shaped Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hullabaloo-bookshelf.md) - [Dynamic Geometric Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheft.md) - [Dynamic Architecturally Strong Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dogma.md) - [Personality-Enhancing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ordo-book.md) - [Abstract Jigsaw-Like Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spectator-shelf.md)
