A dual-purpose design, it not only sheds light on those important work sessions, it also holds any floating stationary and other knickknacks thanks to its built-in holder at the base. Overall a very simple design, Mads Sætter-Lassen's Buddy Lamp is nevertheless full of personality. The prize ensures that others will be able to enjoy this office staple. It "will be launched later this month at the upcoming [Maison & Objet Show](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brochu-walker) in Paris, and then at the [Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragments)," writes Contemporist. Mads Sætter-Lassen describes it as "the little helper everyone needs." This is true considering how quickly desks can become disorganized. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Dual-purpose Design:** Opportunity for creating products that serve multiple functions, improving efficiency and convenience. - **Personality in Design:** Incorporating unique and distinctive elements into products to enhance their appeal and aesthetic value. - **Organizational Solutions:** Developing innovative products that help individuals stay organized and declutter their workspaces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Industrial Design:** Exploring new design concepts and creating functional and aesthetically pleasing products. - **Office Supplies:** Developing innovative office products and accessories that enhance productivity and organization. - **Lighting:** Creating lighting fixtures that combine functionality and aesthetics to meet the needs of modern consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Storage-Friendly Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/storage-lamp.md) - [Space-Saving Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp.md) - [Magnetic Document-Holding Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holder-desk-lamp.md) - [Portable Pen-Holding Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pod-lamp-concept.md) - [Sophisticated Productivity Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/benq-mindduo-2-table-lamp.md) - [Desk Organizer Lamp Hybrids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/engrid-desk-lamp.md) - [Minimalist Workstation Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-lamp-concept.md) - [Weighted Multi-Position Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-desk-lamp-design.md) - [Multifunctional Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-boring-lamp.md)
