As the company that supplied the Zero-G 3D printer that [NASA](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/redwire-1) is now using on the [International Space Station](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbital-module), Made in Space is now making its space-grade [3D-printing filament](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dprinting-resin) available for people on Earth.

Up in space, this filament is used in the creation of spare parts and tools on-demand, so that astronauts are supplied with everything they need to make repairs.

This ABS plastic is being branded by Made in Space as AstroABS, and is being sold in spools that target makers who want to different quality levels for zero gravity manufacturing. Visiting outer space is out of reach for most, but this at least gives creative people the chance to make contributions to developments in space.
