It's Colin Hutton's hope that his [photographs of insects and spiders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rebug) will help to change people's impressions of these tiny creatures. He believes that through his [macro lens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-1), he can place bugs in a new light, one where people can appreciate their beauty. While I may still find insects revolting, Colin's photos have helped me to at least take notice of the bright colors and interesting features that bugs can possess that I would have otherwise never noticed. Nevertheless, if [macro bug photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/small-muji) isn't your thing Mr. Hutton does photograph other animals, insects and spiders just happen to be his speciality. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 99% | Activity: 99% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Social Good](https://www.trendhunter.com/socialgood) > [Education](https://www.trendhunter.com/education) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Macro Bug Photography:** There is an opportunity for the development of customized bug macro photography services for tourists, students, researchers and content creators. - **Insect Tourism:** There is a potential market for nature lovers and photographers catering to insect macro photography. - **Insect Education:** There is a demand for educational resources that feature macro bug photography for learning in biology and environmental science. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Tourism:** Tourism companies can design bug macro photography tours, packages and workshops for nature enthusiasts. - **Education:** Educational companies can develop visual resources for science programs using macro bug photography. - **Photography:** Photography service companies can specialize in macro bug photography and cater to clients in tourism, research and education sectors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bug-Inspired Jewelry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/murder-hornet-ring.md) - [Life-Sized Puzzled Insect Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/insect-collection.md) - [Edible Insect Lollipops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pest-infested-pops.md) - [Insect-Inspired Technical Baggage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metamorphosis-collection.md) - [Striking Urban Wildlife Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clare-allin.md) - [Convenient Camera Keychain Grips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camera-bug.md) - [Biomimetic Fashion Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nonhuman-life.md) - [Insect Whisky Pairings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-pairing-with-legs.md) - [Macro Smartphone Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-1.md)
