# Retro iPad Stands The Macintosh iPad Stand is a Blast from Apple's Past By Michael Hines | Published 2010-06-10 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macintosh-ipad-stand References: [dvice](http://dvice.com/archives/2010/06/macintosh-ipad.php) & [hirac.info](http://hirac.info/site/archives/macintosh-ipad-stand/) Remember the not-so glorious days of Apple with the Macintosh iPad Stand. This stand is made out of an old Macintosh Classic and is remnant of the days when Apple didn't rule the world with a combination of Justin Long and cool tech. Everyone wanted a piece of the iPad when it debuted. Countless cases and docks have been created for it, but none give you that nostalgic feel like the Macintosh iPad Stand. This stand takes me back to my days as a wide-eyed elementary school student first learning how to computer. Where will it take you? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Retro Tech Accessories:** Reimagining outdated technology as new accessories. - **Nostalgia-inspired Design:** Creating products that evoke memories of earlier eras. - **Upcycling Technology:** Giving obsolete technology new life as functional products. ### Who This Affects Most - **Consumer Electronics:** Opportunity to rebrand nostalgic technology as new products. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity to mix nostalgia and modern functionality in home design. - **Vintage Collectibles:** Opportunity to create new products from old technology for collectors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Retro Computer Smartphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elago-m4-charging-stand.md) - [Nostalgic Desktop Computer Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macintosh-computer-concept.md) - [Miniature Multifunctional Docking Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raycue-128k.md) - [Retro-Inspired 3D-Printed Storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macintosh-studio.md) - [Repurposed Vintage Apple Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repurposed-vintage-apple-computers.md) - [Haute Tubular Laptop Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookarc-flex-macbook-stand.md) - [Wireless Aluminum Tablet Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magfree-pro.md) - [Retro-Styled Pocket Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macintosh-pocket.md) - [Retro Iphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-50th-anniversary-iphone-17-pro.md)
