The new desktop takes the form of a small monitorless tower computer that resembles an enlarged [Mac Mini](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mac-mini). The computer features a variety of ports, including an SD card slot and two [Thunderbolt](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mac-mini-m4) 4 ports at the front. Meanwhile, the back of the device delivers an additional four Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB Type-A ports, a 10 Gbps Ethernet port, a pro audio jack, and an HDMI port. It is clear that with the new computer, Apple is looking to pose a challenge to high-end PCs, describing the compact Mac Studio as offering users “outrageous performance.” For example, the M1 Max-equipped version provides users with 2.5 times the performance of Apple's 27-inch Intel Core i9 iMac and runs at speeds 50% faster than the brand's latest Mac Book Pro.
