Schnapps from [Beyond Labs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1x-and-eqt) is a web application for [Sketch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sketch-pro) and Photoshop that allows designers to create a cool [time-lapse video](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/selfiestory) of their designs. Based out of New York City, the iterative design firm made the app to improve the quality and functionality of design. Schnapps is currently available for a free trial, or can be purchased online. To use, drag a file before you begin working on it into the app and it will make a note of every change you make in your design tool of choice and take a snapshot. This way it can create a time-lapsed video of your design's evolution. This can be helpful from design iterations to evidence of exploration. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/computers) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Time-lapsed Design:** The trend of time-lapsed design allows designers to create captivating videos showcasing the evolution of their designs. - **Iterative Design:** Iterative design has become a trend in the industry, providing designers with a way to improve the quality and functionality of their designs. - **Design Documentation:** Design documentation is becoming increasingly important, and the trend of using apps like Schnapps enables designers to easily capture and showcase their design process. ### Where This Applies - **Graphic Design:** The graphic design industry can leverage the time-lapsed design trend to create engaging content for portfolios and social media. - **Software Development:** In the software development industry, the trend of iterative design provides opportunities for improving user experience and product functionality. - **Design Tools:** The design tools industry can integrate design documentation features into their software, catering to the growing demand for capturing and visualizing the design process. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Screenshot Design Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snippetx.md) - [Visual Enhancement Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibrantsnap.md) - [Process Visualization Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/velocity-lapse.md) - [Visual Editing Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/screencut-v20.md) - [Effortlessly Beautified Screenshots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/supasnap.md) - [Screenshot Editing Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/savvyshot.md) - [App Screenshot Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/screenshot-studio.md) - [Time-Lapse Content Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timelapse-content.md) - [Text-To-Video Animation Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snippetsnap.md)
