# Automated Disposable Toilet Cleansers 'Lysol Click Gel' Uses a Unique Clicking Applicator By Joey Haar | Published 2016-12-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lysol-click-gel References: [lysol](http://www.lysol.ca/en/products/toilet-bowl-cleaners/lysol-click-gel-toilet-bowl-cleaner/) '[Lysol](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lysol) Click Gel' makes the concept of cleaning the bathroom a little bit less daunting. It's no secret that washrooms are often the most dreaded room for undergoing a deep clean, for obvious reasons. Lysol Click Gel, a toilet bowl cleaner, not only makes the WC a cleaner room, but it also makes the chore itself more sanitary thanks to a [clever applicator](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geka). Toilet bowl cleaners, while effective at keeping the toilet clean over longs periods of time, pose a hygiene issue in and of themselves. Many toilet bowl cleaners come with a hook or cage that attaches to the inside of the porcelain; when the cleansing product is spent, this forces one to grab the dirty object to dispose of it. Lysol Click Gel is a viscous, gelatinous cleaner that sticks to the inside of the bowl on its own. To apply it, one simply presses the single-use applicator to the inside of the bowl until it clicks (hence the name,) avoiding any unsanitary contact. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Automated Toilet Cleaners:** Developing automated toilet cleaners that eliminate the need for manual application and disposal can revolutionize bathroom cleaning. - **Hygienic Cleaning Solutions:** Creating innovative cleaning solutions, like the Lysol Click Gel applicator, that prioritize hygiene can disrupt the traditional toilet bowl cleaner market. - **Convenient Toilet Cleaning Methods:** Introducing convenient methods, such as single-use applicators, that simplify and streamline the process of cleaning toilets can transform the bathroom cleaning industry. ### Who This Affects Most - **Cleaning Products:** The cleaning products industry can explore new technologies and materials to develop automated and hygienic toilet cleaning solutions. - **Home Maintenance:** In the home maintenance industry, there is an opportunity to offer more convenient and efficient toilet cleaning methods to homeowners. - **Janitorial Services:** Janitorial service providers can adopt innovative toilet cleaning solutions to optimize efficiency and enhance hygienic practices in commercial settings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Toilet Bowl Cleaner Sheets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toilet-bowl-cleaner-sheets.md) - [Eco Toilet Cleaning Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loo-starter-kit.md) - [Two-in-One Toilet Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/potty-pods.md) - [Sanitary Bathroom Paper Gels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/satu-laboratory-1.md) - [Aromatic Automatic Toilet Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zoflora-fragrance-burst-rim-blocks.md) - [Toilet Tissue Gels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wype-gel.md) - [Convenient Spray Foam Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/domestos-power-foam.md) - [Discreet Bathroom Deodorizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loo-drops.md) - [Potent Toilet Freshening Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zoflora-limitless-scents-rim-blocks.md)
