MAA Architects teamed up with Neometro and [Carr Design Group](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carr) to complete the 126 Walsh Street residence, a luxury development with four units, located in Melbourne, Australia.

Each single-level residence is intended to be a "home," rather than an apartment. The designers opted for open-plan living areas, expansive hallways and generous [outdoor gardens and living spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gardeners-house-1), all of which work together to create a dynamic dwelling.

Neometro's distinct aesthetic is seen in the subtle touches, such as [cedar-clad timber ceilings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thornbury-house), which add a warmth to the contemporary space. Another cedar feature, the entry gate, is added to the home, leading to a breezeway and foyer. Inside, timber highlights are mixed with black accents, adding a bolder element.
