Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing spoke on the collaboration, saying: “Back in 2019, I worked closely with the PUMA team on a boxing-inspired Balmain x PUMA and obviously, I loved creating that capsule—but for this second time around, I really wanted to set our focus on the thrills of basketball.” The collection will feature several basketball-themed items for fans to purchase including caps, tees, uniforms, varsity jackets, and a ‘Balman X Puma’ basketball. However, the standout item is still the Balmain Court thanks to its fun packaging, which is covered with basketball imagery. The design of the shoe contains a golden Balmain tongue label and a Balmain and PUMA heel webbing.
