# Bright Luxurious Living Spaces Pitsou Kedem Architects Optimized Natural Light in This Home By Kalin Ned | Published 2018-01-31 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-living-spaces References: [dezeen](https://www.dezeen.com/2018/01/30/matalon-house-pitsou-kedem-architecture-savyon-israel/) & [pitsou](http://pitsou.com/) When it comes to luxurious living spaces, Pistou Kedem Architects seems to have it all figured out with the repetition of three main design components: simplicity, modernity and glass. In Israel, the studio built a [single-floor house](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silver-house) with the intention to magnify the structure's exposure to the garden. Turning its back on traditional building materials, Pistou Kedem created a [glass castle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tranquil-abiding)—that is, the walls on all sides of the house are made with glass panels, sustained by thin black iron frames. The result is a well-lit interior space with a beautiful and calming view to an [immersive natural landscape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hedge-and-arbour-house). The architects maintained their vision of creating luxurious living spaces that suggest indoor and outdoor spaces are inherently and intimately intertwined. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Glass Walls:** Expanding the use of glass walls for residential designs to create well-lit and immersive living spaces - **Maximizing Natural Light:** Increasing the use of natural light in residential designs to create bright and welcoming living spaces - **Blurring Indoors and Outdoors:** Designing living spaces that intimately integrate indoor and outdoor spaces ### Who This Affects Most - **Residential Architecture:** Opportunities for architects to experiment with glass structures and increase the use of natural light in designs - **Glass Manufacturing:** Innovative design opportunities for manufacturers to create unique glass panels and frames to sustain buildings - **Landscaping:** Designing landscaping in a way that promotes the interplay between indoor and outdoor living spaces ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reconfigured Spacious Brooklyn Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/z-house.md) - [Temple-Inspired Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/j-kidman-architecture.md) - [Bright Family Renovation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cobble-hill-townhouse.md) - [Natural Light-Based Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-voids.md) - [Natural Light-Centric Timber Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huron-house.md) - [Lush Surroundings Glass Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-house-1.md) - [Water-Centric Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/10m.md) - [Environmentally Blending Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ineffable-light.md) - [Glass‑brick Belgian Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-brick-house.md)
