The architects made the decision to split the home into two wings; one of which is dedicated to the social spaces, the other which contains the private bedrooms. The [Cotswold stone exterior](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-atrium-house) gives the home a weathered, yet elegant look that instantly attracts the eye. The stone is kept modern with contemporary details. The first floor of the home features a [wrap-around stone terrace](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hameart-project), which is mimicked around the second level in cantilevered form. A glass enclosure that is attached to house contains an indoor pool. Because it is made of glass, swimmers have the luxury of swimming outdoors all year round. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Split Home Design:** Designing homes with separate wings for social spaces and private bedrooms provides a more functional and efficient layout for modern living. - **Weathered Luxury:** Using Cotswold stone as an exterior material creates a luxurious and elegant aesthetic with a touch of rustic charm. - **Indoor-outdoor Living:** Incorporating glass enclosures for pools allows for year-round swimming while seamlessly blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture and Design:** Split home designs and the use of Cotswold stone present opportunities for architects and designers to create unique and visually appealing residential projects. - **Luxury Real Estate:** The combination of weathered luxury and indoor-outdoor living offers opportunities for luxury real estate developers to create high-end properties that cater to modern lifestyles. - **Home Improvement and Pool Construction:** The demand for glass-enclosed indoor pools may increase, creating opportunities for businesses in the home improvement and pool construction industries to offer innovative solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Garden-Surrounded Pool House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geometric-pool-house.md) - [Weathered Stone Minimal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cotswold-house.md) - [Unobstructive Hidden Pool Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knox-bhavan.md) - [Stone Plinth-Grounded Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ayn3.md) - [Modern Mountainous Luxury Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robert-chisholm-architects.md) - [Limestone-Wrapped Rural Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/field-house.md) - [Tranquil Riverside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chalk-river-house.md) - [Sandstone Brick Home Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stone-and-steel-house.md) - [Meadow-Overlooking Sleek Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studioac-1.md)
