The Italy-based [Luxottica Group](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moncler-and-luxottica), a premium eyewear manufacturer and distribution company, is in the midst of experimenting with merchandising tactics with the opening of its 'Eye Hub' store in Australia, drawing from all the bigwigs in advertising, including [Apple](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mytheresa-vision-pro) and the [Walt Disney Company](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/radnor-fruits).

The Luxottica Group is trying to make glasses shopping more of a lavish event. The 16,000-square-foot 'Eye Hub' has a load of cool features: it's shaped like an eyeball, has treadmills for sport sunglasses testing, and even has touchscreen cameras so you can try out a bold new look. Now that's shopping!
