Vikenty Gryaznov is a freelance designer from Russia who is interested in watches, jewelry, furniture and cars. He teamed up with the famed watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin to create an incredible [watch for the Baselworld 2011 design show](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mooninspired-watch) called the Lunokhod timepiece. Gryaznov was in charge of the design, while Chaykin manufactured the watch.

The Lunokhod timepiece looks simply stunning and unlike any other watch I have ever seen. It looks very [futuristic and spacey](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spaceone-worldtimer), like something that you might see a stylish character in Star Wars wearing. It is made out of Wootz steel. The designers say that the appearance of the Lunokhod timepiece reminds them of the [moon's surface](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perpetual-moon-concept).
