The focus highlights the craftsmanship that brings attention to the intention which invites those to embrace the dents and scratches. The brand evokes a philosophical approach to functional designs through a sustainable process. The Lunar Chair is made from FSC-certified oak and the [moon influence](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wigiwama) is referenced in the [rounded seat and ergonomic curved back](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-heart-chair). Herman explains, “With Lunar Chair, I aimed to create a light and embracing chair. My goal was to make a chair that encourages different ways of sitting rather than locking the user into a single position. The chair’s characteristic rounded backrest with integrated armrests is made from a single piece of solid wood. The form [of the armrests] ensures optimal comfort with support for the sitter’s elbow and lower back and allows for a variety of seating positions.” Image Credit: Form & Refine ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 27% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Philosophical Design:** Philosophical concepts in furniture design foster a deeper connection between users and their everyday objects. - **Sustainable Craftsmanship:** Emphasizing sustainability in artisanal furniture promotes eco-friendly production and conscious consumerism. - **Multi-positional Seating:** Chairs designed to offer multiple seating positions enhance ergonomic comfort and adaptability. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Exploring philosophical and sustainable elements within the furniture design realm can create uniquely mindful products. - **Eco-friendly Manufacturing:** Sustainable practices in the manufacturing industry support the creation of environmentally responsible products. - **Ergonomic Solutions:** The development of multi-positional ergonomic furniture addresses the diverse needs of users’ comfort and health. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Curved Bamboo Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-moon-chair.md) - [Luxurious Minimal Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-minimal-chair.md) - [Adaptable Ergonomic Office Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-moon-chair.md) - [Stainless Steel Reflective Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dream-view-chair.md) - [Wooden Foundation Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-lounge.md) - [Softened Danish Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ter.md) - [Versatile Hybrid Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-hybridlounger.md) - [Sustainable Modern Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zeitraum.md) - [Sustainable Structural Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-limbo-chair.md)
