# Projecting Music Players Luna Projector/MP3 Player Displays Videos and Plays Tunes at Once By Michael Hines | Published 2011-03-26 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-projector-mp3-player References: [gizmag](http://www.gizmag.com/sceptre-luna-pico-projector-mp3-player/18207/) & [sceptre](http://www.sceptre.com/Products/Other/Projector/Luna-100W) If I were [Apple](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macbook-go), I'd be keeping an eye on the Luna Projector/MP3 Player. Sceptre's new MP3 player is an innovative gadget that can play music and project videos at the same time. The Luna Projector/MP3 Player projects images as large as 99 inches by 50 inches in a darkened room. The Luna Projector/MP3 Player comes with a 2 GB Micro SD card that can be expanded up to 32GB. My only knock against Sceptre's design is the maximum resolution of the projector, which is only 640x480. Still, the fact that the Luna can even project video is quite an accomplishment. I wouldn't be surprised to see a big-time company like Apple integrate projectors into its next batch of iGadgets. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Integrated Projectors:** Incorporating projectors into devices to display videos as well as play music in a new way. - **Enhanced Screen Resolution:** Improving video quality through the creation of devices with high-resolution projectors. - **Multi-functional Entertainment Devices:** Developing MP3 players with the ability to project videos and perform other functions at the same time. ### Where This Applies - **Consumer Electronics:** The market for innovative multi-functional devices is wide open and competition among manufacturers is key to dominating the growing market. - **Entertainment:** Capitalize on the trend by developing higher-quality projectors or incorporating the technology into a variety of other entertainment devices. - **Smart Tech:** Expand development opportunities to create smart projectors that connect wirelessly to mobile devices and stream content from online sources. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dual-Purpose Projector Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomvdic-x300.md) - [Screen-Free 3-in-1 Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-storytime-projector.md) - [Pocket-Sized Quality Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yaber.md) - [Contemporary Home Theatre Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magic-lamp.md) - [Sound-Packing Portable Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soundpacking-portable-projector.md) - [Phone-Casting Portable Projector](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cinebeam.md) - [Tubular Portable Projector Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-anker-capsule-3-laser.md) - [Miniature Portable 4K Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luminx-pro-wireless-smart-projector.md) - [Connective Miniature Media Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pico-t1.md)
