Created by Italian design studio [ATTICO](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/les-mondes-de-diptyque), the collection is comprised of three pieces of furniture: an armchair, a two seater sofa and four seater sofa. The use of sharp chromatic elements give the Luna Park Collection a strong presence. More than that, the designers write, "Funfairs are crossroads for emotions, voices, as well as a symbolic reference for saturated atmospheres filled with neon lights." Thus, each piece is filled with a sense of jubiliant life that is often found in such settings. Despite being influenced by such a [retro and childlike place](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-eternal-child), the pieces of furniture featured in the Luna Park Collection are contemporary and even sophisticated, perfect for family homes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 63% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Colorful Retro Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create modern furniture designs with a retro and colorful aesthetic, appealing to those who seek unique and vibrant pieces for their homes. - **Amusement Park Inspiration:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop amusement park-inspired furniture collections that evoke a sense of joy and nostalgia, targeting consumers who want to bring a touch of playful fun into their living spaces. - **Crossroads of Emotion:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design furniture that captures the essence of emotional crossroads, incorporating elements that create an atmosphere of energy and excitement, appealing to individuals who seek furniture that embodies vibrant experiences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate retro and amusement park-inspired designs into furniture manufacturing to cater to a niche market segment seeking unique and lively home decor. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create interior design concepts that draw inspiration from funfairs and amusement parks, providing clients with bold and vibrant options to transform their living spaces. - **Home Decor Retail:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Curate collections of furniture and accessories that capture the spirit of funfairs, targeting homeowners who want to infuse their spaces with whimsy and nostalgic elements. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Playful Toy-Like Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frunchroom-furniture-collection.md) - [Latin Playground-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-sum-of-small-parts.md) - [Colorful Contemporary Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stellar-works.md) - [Quirky Cartoon-Like Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flash-furniture-series.md) - [Surf-Inspired Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laun-x-chet-architecture-mondos.md) - [Vibrant '90s-Inspired Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holloway-li.md) - [Contrasting Artful Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fluro-furniture.md) - [Playful Casual Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uchronia-wave.md) - [Playful Geometric Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-co.md)
