# Enormous All-Encompassing Couches Luna by Claesson Koivisto Rune Makes a Comfy Room Inside a Room By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-04-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-by-claesson-koivisto-rune References: [ckr.se](http://www.ckr.se/) I don't imagine that the vast majority of houses would have sufficient space or the ideal layout to accommodate the Luna by Claesson Koivisto Rune. Of course, this piece of "superfurniture" could be right at home in the public setting as well, perhaps in museums, galleries and even offices. This immense and whimsical object makes a massive loop upon its short pedestal, creating an expansive surface for [seating, rounded walls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chunk-doughnut-chair) on two sides and ceiling that's consistently padded like the rest of the piece. It maintains a firm, all-embracing structure and a plushy interior finish in bold red fabric that accommodates occupants in a range of [comfortable positions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-perron-bun). Openings in Luna let illumination in from above, even permitting the penetration of pendant lamps. Below, these gaps provide places to rest your feet on the floor so that you can enjoy Luna like a [colossal sofa](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biboni-sofa). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.4/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 88% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Superfurniture:** Manufacturing massive multi-functional furniture can revolutionize public spaces. - **Innovative Seating:** Designing avant-garde couches can elevate the aesthetic and comfort of homes. - **Padded Architecture:** Integrating padded walls and ceilings can create a safe and comfortable room-within-a-room experience. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** This industry can use Luna's design to create unique and innovative indoor spaces. - **Hospitality:** Hotels and restaurants can benefit from the Luna's large size and plush comfort to offer guests a luxurious experience. - **Exhibition Design:** Museums and galleries can utilize Luna as a visually stunning piece that captures attention and provides seating for visitors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-series.md) - [Moon-Inspired Modular Seating Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wigiwama.md) - [Ultra-Comfy Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushy-lounge-chair.md) - [Frameless Cozy Modular Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lapis-sofa.md) - [Plush Sculptural Lounge Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rokko.md) - [Enveloping Sofa Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perron-pillo.md) - [Versatile Hybrid Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-hybridlounger.md) - [High-Back Embracing Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozmo-hug.md) - [Organically Shaped Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repose-sofa.md)
