The sculptural art piece is made up of 10 video projectors that are mounted atop four structural towers. Emitting both projected imagery and sound, the [illuminated art piece](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-of-light) is showcased underneath Anish Kapoor's famed 2006 [Cloud Gate](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tylko-sound) sculpture. The Luminous Field by LuftwerkIn also features disco dance floor imagery as well as color-infused geometric shapes that dance on projected screens. The interactive art installation allows Millennium Park visitors to experience its virtual movement and to engage with its illuminated projections. The light and sound sculpture transforms a traditional public space into a visual wonderland that is both futuristic and whimsical in its design concept. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Video Projection Art:** Opportunity to create immersive visual experiences using video projection technology. - **Interactive Art Installations:** Potential to engage and involve audiences through interactive elements in art installations. - **Virtual Movement Experiences:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to create virtual movement experiences through projected imagery and sound. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Entertainment:** Industry that can leverage video projection technology to create immersive and interactive art installations. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Opportunity to enhance visitor experiences and attractions with interactive and visually captivating art installations. - **Event Management:** Industry that can incorporate virtual movement experiences into events and conferences to create unique and engaging atmospheres. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Unique Interactive Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-aurora.md) - [Immersive Crystal Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-crystal-installation.md) - [Immersive Lighting Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-lighting-installation.md) - [Immersive Illuminated Artistic Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumino1.md) - [Wonderous Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/your-psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Futuristic Immersive Lighting Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-lighting-experience.md) - [Orb Lighting Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mangrove-island.md) - [Intricate Lighting Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/objects-of-common-interest1.md) - [Eclipse-Themed Rooftop Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-zero.md)
