# Luminescent Table Runners Glow-in-the-Dark Dining Room Decor By Marissa Brassfield | Published 2008-12-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luminescent-table-runners References: [newlaunches](http://www.newlaunches.com/archives/lumitable_is_a_space_age_table_runner_that_lightens_up_your_table.php) & [lumigram](http://www.lumigram.com/catalog/product_info.php?currency=USD&cPath=1&products_id=102) If dark dining is your thing, these 'LumiTable' table runners and placemats from LumiGram are perfect for your tablescape. The luminescent 'LumiTable' runners are made from Luminex fiberoptic fabric and are powered from a main adapter--which, incidentally, does not glow in the dark. The 'LumiTable' runners produce a glow that, depending on your attitude towards [glow-in-the-dark products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circuit-board-device), is either soothing or eerie. While the 'LumiTable' table runners are visually stunning, I'd like them more if they had a wireless option. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Glow-in-the-dark Home Decor:** Create an eerie and visually stunning dining experience with glow-in-the-dark table runners and placemats. - **Luminex Fiber Optic Fabric:** Innovate fabric materials by using Luminex fiber optic fabric to create luminescent and unique decor pieces. - **Wireless Home Accessories:** Tap into the market demand for convenience and aesthetics by developing wireless options for home decor accessories. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Introduce cutting-edge luminescent home decor pieces to enhance interior design concepts. - **Textile and Fabrics:** Explore the potential of luminex fiber optic fabric in textile industry and create innovative products. - **Consumer Electronics:** Combine technology and design by developing wireless and remote-controlled home accessories for a seamless user experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Illuminated Modern Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumera.md) - [Strikingly Elegant Tablescapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elegant-tablescape.md) - [Modular Mood Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumen-chair.md) - [Paper Lantern-Inspired Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-andon-table.md) - [Otherworldly Lighting Fixture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otherworldly-lighting-fixture.md) - [Sleek Illuminating Runner Belts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumabelt.md) - [Origami-Inspired Lit Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightup.md) - [Dimmable Structural Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mantle.md) - [Glow-in-the-Dark Water Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glow-in-the-dark-water-bottle.md)
