How could you resist the endearing nature of this [dual-purpose Luminarie Post](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/engrid-desk-lamp)? It succeeds at both enlightening a space and providing a place to pin personal memos, making it a wonderful desktop or bedside accessory. Gabriela Kuniyoshi and Vinicius Lopes Leite of Brazil's Estudio Ninho came up with the crafty concept that allows the user to interact more intimately with the inanimate object. It arrives in a compact cylindrical package to minimize the use of wrapping material and opens up into a collection of [easily assembled pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aplat). A [thick cork hub](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corka) holds the lightbulb and has three wooden legs inserted into pre-cut holes. You pin the thin bottle stopper strip around the outside to act as both lampshade and cork board. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: South America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Dual-purpose Objects:** Expanding the functionality of products by incorporating multiple uses, appealing to consumers looking for convenience and practicality. - **Interactive Design:** Creating products that allow users to engage with them more intimately, enhancing the overall user experience and emotional connection. - **Compact Packaging:** Designing products that minimize packaging materials and optimize space efficiency, reducing waste and environmental impact. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Incorporating dual-purpose objects in home decor products, providing consumers with practical and space-saving solutions for everyday items. - **Lighting:** Integrating interactive design in lighting products, offering consumers enhanced functionality and personalized experiences with their lighting fixtures. - **Sustainable Packaging:** Developing compact packaging solutions across various industries, addressing the growing demand for eco-friendly and resource-efficient packaging methods. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Portable Pen-Holding Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pod-lamp-concept.md) - [Storage-Friendly Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/storage-lamp.md) - [Space-Saving Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp.md) - [Magnetic Document-Holding Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holder-desk-lamp.md) - [Interconnecting Component Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-table-lamp.md) - [Bamboo-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-desk-lamp.md) - [Conical Multifunctional Lamp Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-table-light.md) - [Customizable Industrial Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pi-modular-lamp.md) - [Hanging Lantern-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodo-table-lamp.md)
