# Crystalline Floor Lighting The Luksfera Lamp by TO DO Product Design Has an Organic Form By Meghan Young | Published 2013-03-05 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luksfera-lamp References: [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/Luksfera-lamp/6430637) & [to-do.pl](http://www.to-do.com.pl/) The Luksfera Lamp looks like crystalline formations jutting out from the floor. The abstract geometric shape of each light fixture gives it a [sculptural silhouette](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/souffl-lamp) that will add an artistic touch to any living space. Emitting a warm glow from the bottom up, the Luksfera Lamp is more of a decorative piece than a practical one. Nevertheless, it does add a nice bit of [mood lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbyt). Designed by TO DO, a product design studio based in Cracow, Poland, the Luksfera Lamp was "inspired by [paper folding techniques](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-lamp) and experiences of surfaces patterns," as written on its Behance page. Each one was cast in concrete and them made out of a transparent self-supporting structure of laser cut polypropylene. Anti-static, easy to clean and permanent, the material is perfect for the Luksfera Lamp. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Crystalline Lighting:** Innovative lighting fixtures that add a sculptural, artistic touch to living spaces. - **Organic-inspired Design:** Designs that take inspiration from nature, resulting in unique shapes and forms. - **Mixing Materials:** Experimenting with different materials and creating a juxtaposition, resulting in an interesting design. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Incorporating innovative lighting fixtures and unique designs in home decor.
