The images in their unaltered form are photographs of [serene landscapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baggage-claim-mirrors); from mountains to ponds, each image contains its own aesthetic prowess derived from the artful depiction of a beautiful surrounding. What is originally an impressive picture becomes an obscure image after Luis Dourado crops out the center of the photograph and rearranges it to create an image that appears to have a [geometrical vortex](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mathematically-shaped) in the center. Like trying to figure out a puzzle, looking at these images makes one want to rearrange the artfully misplaced pieces in order to return the picture to its original form. Of course, a return to normalcy would detract from the compelling allure of Luis Dourado's artwork. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Surrealist-inspired Distortion:** Opportunity to explore the merging of reality and illusion in various creative endeavors. - **Geometrical Vortex:** Potential for creating immersive and visually striking experiences through the manipulation of geometric patterns. - **Artful Depiction:** Chance to redefine traditional photography by embracing unconventional techniques and perspectives. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Fine Art Photography:** Innovation in manipulating landscapes and distorting reality to create captivating and thought-provoking visual art. - **Digital Art and Design:** Opportunity to push the boundaries of digital manipulation and create visually captivating experiences. - **Interior Design:** Potential to incorporate surrealist-inspired elements and geometric patterns in interior spaces to create unique and immersive environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paper Curvature Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-curves.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [AI-Generated Poetic Photo Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emilio-alarcn.md) - [AI-Generated Real-World Transformations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-generated-world.md) - [Blurry Abstract Photography Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/optical-allusion.md) - [Geometric Sculpture Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illusion-box.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Travel-Themed Fractured Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baggage-claim-mirrors.md) - [Interactive Architectural Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-landscape.md)
