The design features a facade that allows light to flow through the building without sacrificing privacy, giving the residence a bright and cheery atmosphere. The Lucien Cornil residence's interior is also designed with the playfulness of young students in mind. Its lobby features a [loft area](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lakeside-living) that consists of little more than a level of netting, creating a giant hammock that students can lounge around on.
