# Inventive White Box Homes 'Lucia House' is Organizes Into Four Volumes By Joey Haar | Published 2018-06-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucia-house References: [archdaily](https://www.archdaily.com/896114/lucia-house-bhy-arquitectos) Some people tease the trope of modern houses being designed as little more than series of plain colored boxes, but '[Lucia House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-lucia)' by [BHY Arquitectos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-wiz) is a different type of white box home. The abode is arranged into four distinct volumes that give it an interior dynamism while making it an attractive addition to the natural landscape on the exterior. There are three rectangular volumes on Lucia House's ground floor and a single volume that makes up the upper story. Two of the ground floor volumes and the upper volume face the [waterway behind the home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/10m), and these all have large windows that provide excellent views of the activities that take place on that stretch.
