# Concave Reading Lights Add Unique Character to Your Home with the Luceplan Curl Table Lamp By Nicole Ballantyne-Choo | Published 2013-09-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luceplan-curl-table-lamp References: [fancy](http://fancy.com/things/441910780900675681/Luceplan-Curl-Table-Lamp) & [ylighting](http://www.ylighting.com/luceplan-curl-table-lamp.html) The Luceplan Curl [Table Lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-table-lamp) is a pretty and unique way to add some light to your living room. This lamp doesn't look like most as the light is not enclosed in a bulb or shade. Instead, this one is open concept, as only one side of the fixture is shielded. The creative piece was designed by Sebastian Bergne, and it offers a very [peaceful and romantic ambiance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joe-colombo). What's great about it is the [light can be adjusted](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ovo-lamp) from 2400 degrees to 3500 degrees Kelvin. This gives you the power to decide just how bright you want the room. If you're doing some light reading before bed, a lower dimmed option is a great choice. However, if you're hosting a fun get together and want to liven up the space, setting it higher will do just the trick. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Open Concept Lighting:** Light fixtures that forgo traditional bulb or shade enclosures, offering a unique and modern aesthetic. - **Adjustable Kelvin Lighting:** Lighting options that allow users to adjust the color temperature to create specific atmospheres and moods. - **Unique Home Lighting:** Innovative lamps and fixtures that add character and personality to interior spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Opportunities for designers and manufacturers to create new and visually striking lighting products. - **Smart Home Technology:** Integration of adjustable lighting options into smart home systems for customizable and convenient lighting experiences. - **Hospitality and Event Planning:** Utilizing unique and mood-setting lighting fixtures to enhance ambiance and create memorable experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Glass Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuloa.md) - [Award-Winning Colorful Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/u-table-lamp.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Cutesy Coiled Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-helix-lamp.md) - [Reversible Glass Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jal.md) - [Bold Playful Lighting Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-lebow-table-lamp.md) - [Perforated LED Table Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lume.md) - [Elegant Compact Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light.md) - [Quirky Common Item Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-lamp-lighter.md)
