Its surface emits a soft glow that makes it a doubly practical design. Whether used to actually light up a room or to bring attention to whatever objects are placed on top of it, the Lua Table is a striking piece of furniture that will capture anyone's attention. Designed by the fine folks over at A43, the Lua Table is fashioned out of either [wood or metal](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp). Great for a number of living spaces, it can easily fit into a common room as much as it does a bedroom thanks to its overall [minimalist appearance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delite-20). Aside from the lamp aspect, the Lua Table's defining feature is a bright red cord that snakes down its length. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Illuminated Furniture Design:** Designing furniture with built-in lighting fixtures for added functionality and aesthetic appeal. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** Creating furniture pieces that serve more than one purpose for space-saving and practicality. - **Minimalist Design:** Designing furniture with a simple and clean aesthetic for versatility in various living spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Incorporating lighting features in furniture design for a new market of modern and functional furniture. - **Interior Design:** Utilizing multi-functional and minimalist furniture design in interior projects to optimize living spaces. - **Home Decor:** Developing new lighting fixtures integrated in furniture design to offer a wide selection of unique and practical decor options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Illuminated Modern Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumera.md) - [Portable Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grab-glow.md) - [Award-Winning Colorful Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/u-table-lamp.md) - [Detailed Solid Wood Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonlight-lift.md) - [Elegant Compact Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light.md) - [Origami-Inspired Lit Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightup.md) - [Sculptural Glass Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuloa.md) - [Paper Lantern-Inspired Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-andon-table.md) - [Hanging Lantern-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodo-table-lamp.md)
