These drawings were created by an artist in the late 1950s as part of a government-sponsored [LSD experiment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/synergy-by-design). These drawings give a glimpse of just how LSD affects your brain. The LSD drawings tend to get more erratic and detailed as the artist’s time on the drug increases. Check out the LSD Drawings in the gallery above and then below to see more acid and LSD-based finds from the Trend Hunter archives. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Psychedelic Art:** Opportunity for artists to explore the effects of hallucinogenic drugs through visually captivating and mind-bending art forms. - **Mind-altering Experiences:** Potential to develop immersive experiences that simulate altered states of consciousness and enhance self-reflection. - **Exploring Consciousness:** Opportunity for researchers to investigate the effects of hallucinogens on the human mind and explore new possibilities for therapy and self-discovery. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Artists can leverage psychedelics to create unique and thought-provoking pieces that captivate audiences and challenge traditional artistic boundaries. - **Entertainment and Media:** Opportunity to develop immersive virtual reality experiences that allow users to explore altered states of consciousness and offer mind-expanding content. - **Healthcare and Therapy:** Potential for medical professionals to study the therapeutic effects of hallucinogenic substances and discover innovative approaches to mental health treatment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Psychedelic Skateboard Decks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-psychedelia.md) - [Psychedelic Hand-Painted Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-iii.md) - [Marble-Patterned Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychedelic-interior.md) - [Microdosing Edible Subscriptions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microdosing-edible.md) - [Medicine-Inspired Artful Shows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/something-for-the-pain.md) - [Glass Beaded Intricate Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition.md) - [Psychoactive Sparkling Waters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychedelic-water.md) - [Surrealist Shopping Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreams-is.md) - [Kaleidoscopic Dream Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreamachine.md)
