According to the retail giant, more than 11 million new pets entered U.S. homes since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. With that in mind, the company aims to serve consumers' home and pet needs in a one-stop-shop format. To accomplish this endeavor, Lowe's enlisted the help of Petco, who will open its first mini-stores within Lowe's select locations. The Petcos will offer consumers pet food and pet services, including vaccination clinics and mobile grooming services. The first Lowe's with a Petco will open in February 2022 in Alamo Ranch, Texas. Additionally, fourteen additional Lowe's locations will open Petco centers across the U.S. by the end of March.
