L’Oréal teamed up with Swiss start-up Gjosa to develop a low-flow showerhead that is being tested in salons in the United States and South Africa. The innovative, environmentally friendly showerhead helps to reduce [water and energy consumption](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-bergvattnet) by almost 70%, which will help salon staff rinse away shampoo with just 1.5 liters of water, rather than the standard eight liters of water that's often required.

The showerhead boasts a design that breaks up the flow of water and at the same time, accelerates the speed of the droplets to maximize the effectiveness of a wash.

This low-flow showerhead helps to address the issue of [water access and waste](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-wise), and offers a solution for how salons can effortlessly use the precious resource sparingly.
