# Thermochromatic Chairs Leave Your Mark on the NunoErin Love Handle Sofa By Meghan Young | Published 2010-01-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-handle-sofa References: [gizmodo](http://gizmodo.com/5451679/thermo) & [nunoerin](http://www.nunoerin.com/) Aside from a gimmicky design (which is rather cool, I have to admit), I’m not so sure of the success of this Love Handle Sofa by NunoErin. I mean, yes it harks back to the days of mood rings and flashy t-shirts, but is that enough? Well, I think it may be. Boasting thermochromatic technology, the Love Handle Sofa becomes imprinted with your body shape as soon as you leave its comforting embrace. What do I mean by imprint? Simply, the heat from your body activates the material’s thermal readings, creating an oil-like pattern. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Thermochromatic Furniture:** Opportunity to incorporate interactive technology into home decor. - **Personalized Comfort:** Opportunity to offer customized furniture for individuals. - **Interactive Design:** Opportunity to create collaborative experiences through furniture. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Industry:** Opportunity to offer unique and innovative designs to customers. - **Technology Industry:** Opportunity to integrate technology into home decor. - **Interior Design Industry:** Opportunity to push the boundaries and create unconventional spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tech-Infused Living Room Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allure-sofa-range.md) - [High-Back Embracing Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozmo-hug.md) - [Heat-Shrunk Textile Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shrinx-lounge-chair.md) - [Sculptural Minimalism Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/noom-hello-sofa.md) - [Ribbed-Cushioned Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/note-design.md) - [Low-Lying Profile Cushioned Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kouros-maghsoudi.md) - [Oblong Color-Blocked Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meritalia-morphologica-collection.md) - [Organically Shaped Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repose-sofa.md) - [Mountainous Magnetic Wall-Mounted Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mousarris-summit-modular-sofa.md)
